I live eight hours away from my hometown so stopping by for a daytime visit isn't an option. So, my mom has met my boyfriend of two years a select number of times, where I've spent days with his family. She also will not let my father take the kids for a weekend because he is living "in sin" with his girlfriend and she doesn't want the kids to "think that's okay." Silence hurts. I love that you're working at a feminist sex shop now. I also got really vocal about healthy, positive sex as a result of growing up in quiet household. Too bad most people who aren't given enough info aren't so lucky.
