This Easter, my husband and I but a box of condoms in our 16 year olds daughters Easter basket along with the usual collection of chocolates. I don’t think I have ever seen a so bright a shade of red as was on her face when she discovered it.

We all sat down and had a good long chat, and although we didn’t demonstrate a “friction test” we all came away from that conversation feeling that we were much closer as a family.

I think your parents totally raised the bar on “The Talk”! Can you imagine..”Yeah mom, dad…this book is very informative and all, but when do we break out the power tools?”

i had a similar experience with condoms and my dad. he came home one day with every type of condom you can buy! i cant imagine what the chemist people thought of his purchase! but he and my mum went through the different types (lubed, spermicidal lube etc) and the lesson ended by using the air compressor to inflate the condoms! it was funny, informative, relaxed and memorable!
